I began Ashtanga Yoga at the age of 53. I thought I was out of my mind to start such a practice at such a “mature” age.  But, with the first Sun Salutation, I fell in love. I knew that this would be the practice that would carry me through the second half of my life.

I have traveled throughout the world studying with various teachers. Andrew Eppler and Bryce Delbridge have been my most constant, influential teachers. I have taken teacher training courses with Andrew Eppler and Reema Datta.

I have found, however, that the main teacher is the practice. I’ve had a committed daily practice for six years now.  I’ve watched my body gain strength. I’ve watched my body become more flexible. I have a greater sense of balance not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. This practice has helped me come to a stability that I take out into my life off the mat. It has literally changed the quality of my life.

My desire is to share this practice. My intention is to support students within the class setting, as well as, help students develop a personal practice. The Intro Class will build a foundation for your asana practice, your meditation practice and your Shavasana practice, with a little philosophy thrown in. I would love to have you join me!
