Rebecca

Rebecca was introduced to yoga in 2002 during her professional dance career in
Houston, TX. She is a certified Pilates instructor through Physical Mind Institute in
Houston, TX and has been teaching both yoga and Pilates since 2005, as she found
both to be a compliment to dance. Rebecca’s practice has been heavily influenced by
her dance experience and her classes offer opportunities to be playful and
experimental, linking movement and breath.
Rebecca finds that yoga keeps her centered, calm, and humble; allowing her to be a
kinder and gentler person off the mat. She is grateful to be able to share her yoga
practice with others and hopes that her students leave her classes with a better sense of
themselves, their minds, and bodies. Outside the yoga studio, Rebecca is a faculty
member at OU whose other passion is world language teaching and learning.
