A practice that remembers
where it came from.
Andrew Eppler · Norman, Oklahoma. Forty years of practice. Private Ashtanga, traditional Thai bodywork, and the 200hr Ashtanga program, taught online, in Oklahoma, and in Mysore, India.
Summer Solstice Celebration
Midsummer. The sun standing still at the top of its arc before turning back. We mark it the way that fits this place: yoga in the afternoon, the creek when the day is hottest, a fire circle as the sun starts down, a wood-fired sauna into the evening, dinner together, and music into the night.
Family land thirty minutes southeast of Norman. Mila co-hosts. The land does most of the rest.
Three ways
to begin.

200hr Ashtanga Program
Some of the best teachers around Oklahoma have come through our program. It is a true immersion in all aspects of yoga, and everyone gets a lot from it, whether they are interested in leading classes or not. Available online, in person in Oklahoma, and as a four-week immersion in Mysore and Melkote, India.
View the program →Therapeutic bodywork, and the art of healing.
I have been a student of healing arts for decades. Thai bodywork is what I am best known for, and it remains at the center of the work, but it is not the whole of it. I draw on many forms of bodywork and therapeutic technique, and I work with the philosophy, diet, and lifestyle that surround them.
Much of my work is with yoga practitioners, and with the injuries that practice tends to produce over time. I know those patterns well, and I know how to work with them.
I also teach people to work on themselves. Self-massage and therapeutic technique they can carry home and use on their own. Healing is not something done to you on a table and then finished. The most lasting results come when a person takes part in their own care, and I take real joy in that exchange.
The 200hr Ashtanga Program.
A training grounded in traditional Ashtanga Yoga with fifteen years of experience behind it.
In every form, the curriculum includes Aṣṭāṅga āsana with Andrew's adjustment work, prāṇāyāma, mudrā, Sanskrit chanting, and the Yoga Sūtras and Bhagavad Gītā with senior scholars in Mysore.
Self-paced, anywhere
The full curriculum, available worldwide. Live sessions, recorded lectures, and ongoing dialogue with Andrew.

Details →In Mysore, students learn from senior teachers and Sanskrit scholars. Their work, and the lineage they carry, is the reason the program exists in the form it does.
Light striking matter.
Photography is nothing other than the study of how light strikes matter: prakṛti and puruṣa. It is not difficult to see the joy of photography and video for a yogi.
The documentary work, Mysore Yoga Traditions and Kings and Yogis in production, along with the ongoing recordings of scholar talks and conferences, lives on the Mysore Yoga Traditions site, where video leads.

The teacher
and the work.
Forty years of Ashtanga practice. The studio's daily teaching since 1999, and the 200hr program for more than fifteen of those years.
Director of the Mysore Yoga Traditions documentary film. Organizer of the annual Mysore Yoga Conference. Long-time student of the Sanskrit community of Mysore and of Śrī B.N.S. Iyengar, the oldest living teacher of Ashtanga Yoga. Photographer.
Available in the studio for private Ashtanga, yoga therapy, and traditional Thai bodywork.
Two more places
this work lives.
For group classes in Norman, and for the documentary film work and the wider Mysore project, two companion sites carry what this one does not. Stills lead here. Video leads there.
