A small Mysore-rooted studio in Norman, Oklahoma. Private Ashtanga classes, traditional Thai bodywork, and the 200hr Ashtanga program — online, in Oklahoma, and in Mysore, India.
The studio opened in Norman in 1999. Twenty-six years on, the teaching has not changed much; the practice has not changed at all. Some of the people who first walked in as students now bring their own children.
The work we do here is rooted in Mysore, India — in the Sanskrit community that formed Śrī Kṛṣṇamācārya and that still teaches the philosophy he carried. We do not approach that tradition as outsiders, and we do not market it. We practice within it, slowly, and we share what we are given.

"The practice does not ask for your devotion. It asks for your honesty about what is here, today, in this body, in this breath."
Andrew Eppler · Studio Notes
The 200hr Aṣṭāṅga program has been running for more than fifteen years. It is the work that has brought the studio's daily teaching together with the Sanskrit scholars of Mysore — the same lineage that formed Śrī Kṛṣṇamācārya. It can be taken in three forms.
In every form, the curriculum includes Aṣṭāṅga āsana with Andrew's adjustment work, prāṇāyāma, mudrā, Sanskrit chanting, and the Yoga Sūtras and Bhagavad Gītā with senior scholars in Mysore — including Dr. M. A. Alwar (Ācārya, Nāthamuni Sampradāya) and Dr. H. V. Nagaraj Rao.
The full curriculum, self-paced, available anywhere in the world. Live sessions, recorded lectures, and ongoing dialogue with Andrew.
An in-person training at the studio in Norman, alongside the daily practice that has continued here since 1999.
A four-week immersion across the city of Mysore and the village of Melkote — the heart of the Sanskrit tradition that shaped the yoga most of the world now practices.
Live and self-paced courses taught by the senior Sanskrit scholars of Mysore — the community that formed Śrī Kṛṣṇamācārya. Offered through Mysore Yoga Traditions, alongside or independent of the 200hr program.
The Aṣṭa Kumbhakas — the eight classical prāṇāyāma practices of Haṭha Yoga — drawn from Dr. Jayaraman's critical edition of the Haṭhayogapradīpikā and the Jyotsnā Sanskrit commentary. Students leave with a complete working foundation and a daily practice they can continue.
View courseThe complete Sūtras, verse by verse — woven through Sāṅkhya, the Upaniṣads, and the Gītā. The philosophical backbone of everything you practice, read as this lineage has always read it.
View courseAll eighteen chapters of the Gītā, transmitted as it has been understood within this paramparā for more than a millennium — the same philosophical understanding that guided Śrī Kṛṣṇamācārya.
View courseSāṅkhya is the theory of yoga; yoga is its practical application. Verse-by-verse study of the Sāṅkhya Kārikā — puruṣa, prakṛti, the three guṇas — the vocabulary that runs through every text in this tradition.
View courseThe Yoga Sūtras, the Bhagavad Gītā, and the Sāṅkhya Kārikā studied together — three angles on a single integrated understanding the tradition has always taught as one. The bundled study for those who want the whole picture.

Forty years of Aṣṭāṅga practice. Director of the Mysore Yoga Traditions film and the Mysore Yoga Conference. Has led the 200hr program for over fifteen years and the studio's daily teaching since 1999.
Fifteen years of teaching. Trained in Ukraine in classical Haṭha and yoga therapy. Carries the studio's private and therapeutic work — especially with students recovering from injury or living with long-standing conditions.
The Mysore Yoga Conference brings practitioners and the Sanskrit community of Mysore together — āsana, philosophy, cultural study — in a city that has been a centre of yogic scholarship for hundreds of years. The film and the online archive carry that same work to the rest of the world.
The studio is here, the door is open, and the work continues. If you are new — write. If you have practiced before — write. The fastest way to a real answer is Andrew, directly.
